Hand ground pulp made with ceremonial turmeric and plant fibers from Andhra Pradesh.

This series explores the flora and spices of Southern India (Rose, Turmeric, Henna, Basmati, Cardamom), speculating the role of biomaterials as heirlooms. The fibers are sourced from single-origin farms and ceremonial varieties. They are made using traditional Islamic meat-pounding techniques to create precious clays and pulps.
